Michael Gabel: The Prepared Audition

One of the most essential tools in the actor's arsenal is the Prepared Piece (The Monologue).

 

This workshop is intended to help the actor find and prepare a great piece.

 

The workshop will cover : self awareness

 

                                     finding a piece

 

                                     editing the piece

 

                                     prepping the performance.

 

It will also cover the final day of prep.

Michael Gabel

 MICHAEL GABEL has been an award-winning actor, director, talk show  host, producer and educator for over 30 years.  He is the Founder and  Director of The Actors Institute which provides professional training for t  those interested in Acting in film and television.  He was named to  Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals.  He was honored to be  included in a documentary on “Acting and Teaching; from Stage to  Screen” which included the likes of Richard Spencer and Spike Lee  and was recently interviewed on “The Studio” for George Mason  University.

He has taught Acting and Film at Catholic and American Universities, Montgomery College, The Smithsonian Institution and is currently on the faculty of The Theatre Lab.
